The King and His Hawk
Once upon a time, a king was walking through a very hot desert. His favorite pet hawk was sitting on his shoulder. The king felt very thirsty because of the hot sun, so he looked for water.
Soon, he found a small fountain. He bent down to drink the water. Suddenly, the hawk flew down and hit the king's hand. The king was surprised because his pet had never done this before.
The king tried to drink the water a second time. But the hawk hit his hand again. This made the king very angry. Because he was so thirsty, he lost his temper, pulled out his sword, and killed the hawk.
When the king bent down to drink again, he saw something shining in the water. It was a very dangerous, poisonous snake!
The king realized that if he drank even one drop of that water, he would die. He finally understood that the hawk was only trying to save his life. The king sat next to his dead bird and cried, "I lost you because I was not patient. You were just trying to save me."
**The Lesson:**
Never act in anger or impatience, as it can lead to choices you will regret forever.
