You Can Do It, Kitty!
It was a beautiful day. Kitty and her mom, Cat, were having a great time outside.
"Climbing trees is so much fun," said Cat. "Watch me, Kitty!" Cat jumped quickly up into a tree.
"Come on up, Kitty!" called Cat. "You will love it up here."
Kitty climbed up the tree. But when she looked down, she became very scared and started to cry. "I can't do it!" she sobbed. "It is too high!"
Cat jumped down to the ground and gave Kitty a warm, loving hug. "Don't be sad," Cat said gently. "You can do anything you want to do. Soon, you will reach the very top of the tree. Look at that little calf over there, Kitty. Do you see him? He is trying to walk."
"But he can't even stand up yet," Kitty said, watching the baby cow.
"Just keep watching," said Cat. Soon, the little calf tried again, and now he could run and jump!
Seeing the calf try so hard gave Kitty courage. She took a deep breath. "Watch me, Mom! I am going to do it!" she said.
Kitty ran to the tree and jumped right up!
"It is amazing up here, Mom!" Kitty shouted happily from the branches. "I can see the whole farm!"
The Lesson: Practice makes perfect! Don't give up when something feels scary or hard at first—keep trying, and you will succeed.
