The Secret of the Four Hats

The secret of the four hats

In a distant and quiet village, there lived a woman with a mysterious personality and an interesting past. She loved hats very much and kept them hanging on the wall in her guest room. Each hat had a different color and an unforgettable story.

One day, this woman married a kind-hearted young man. He was naturally curious and loved strange stories. When he arrived at her house for the first time, he noticed four hats hanging carefully on the wall: one black, one blue, a third red, and a fourth yellow.

The young man approached the hats, surprised, and gently asked her: "What is the secret of these hats, my dear?"

The wife smiled a mysterious smile and told him: "Each hat has a story, my love... The black hat was for my first husband, who left us because of the great sadness he lived with. The blue hat was for my second husband, who was always thinking and worrying until his heart became tired. The red one was for my third husband, who chose a path of adventure, but his end was not happy. And the yellow one belonged to my fourth husband, who loved the sea... but he never returned from it one day."

The young man stood still, with a look of surprise on his face. Then, he took off his white hat, put it in her hand, and said with a playful smile: "And this white hat is for your fifth husband... who decided to run away to save himself and live the rest of his life in safety!"
