The Fast Rabbit and the Patient Tortoise
Captivating Introduction
Dear little friends, have you ever felt hopeless about something and then succeeded? Today, we'll tell you a story about a rabbit who thought he was the fastest, and a tortoise who taught him a lesson he would never forget!
The Story
One day, the fast rabbit was walking proudly in the forest, saying: "I am the fastest animal in the forest! No one can race me!". Meanwhile, the patient tortoise was walking slowly and confidently. The rabbit laughed and said: "Oh tortoise, how can you walk so slowly? If you raced me, I would beat you easily!".
The tortoise replied calmly: "You may be faster than me, but I am more patient. Why don't we have a race?". The rabbit happily said: "Of course! I will win without a doubt!".
The next day, the animals gathered to watch the race. The referee blew the whistle, and the rabbit shot off like an arrow, while the tortoise walked with confident steps. After a while, the rabbit looked back and didn't see the tortoise, so he said: "I have left her far behind! I'll take a little rest". And he lay down to sleep.
But the tortoise kept walking steadily, never stopping for a moment. When the rabbit woke up, he saw the tortoise very close to the finish line! He ran quickly, but it was too late. The tortoise arrived first, and shook her head proudly.
The rabbit felt ashamed and said: "I'm sorry, tortoise, I learned a great lesson: patience and determination are better than speed and arrogance".
